Homebuyer Reports & Building Surveys
Homebuyer Report: This report provides an overview of the property's condition. It includes comments on all major structural elements, but does not comment on minor cosmetic issues or include costing, however it does include a valuation figure. The simple "traffic light" rating format, of Red, Amber and Green, enables easy reference, especially to major items that should be addressed urgently. It’s generally suited to traditional properties in a reasonable condition and less than 150 years old.
Building Survey: This is the premier reporting format and is suited to all residential properties. It’s a bespoke report that does not follow a fixed format. It will provide a full picture of construction and the condition of the property, including the roof, chimneys, walls, floors, ceilings, doors and windows. It is likely to be needed if the property is of unusual construction, dilapidated, has been altered or where a major renovation or conversion is planned.
